bareMinerals The September Issue Palette

I don't remember the last time I purchased an eyeshadow palette. It's definitely been a long while but main reason is that my eyes get irritated really easily due to allergies so most shadows cause irritation for me after a few hours of wear.

I decided to give bareMinerals a try since they claim to have no harsh chemicals in their product I figured it might work for me and get me to start using eyeshadows once again.

The September Issue palette has a good mix of shimmery and matte colors. I love the compact packaging and the gorgeous range of colors. I can't wait to play around and do some looks with it!

Info from Sephora: $40.00

What it does:
BareMinerals READY Eyeshadow combines BareMinerals’ proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral™ Complex with powerful antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine, and cucumber—ingredients known to deliver antiaging benefits including reduced appearance of puffiness and antioxidant protection for a softer, smoother, revitalized eye area. This fashion-forward palette of jeweled forest and floral shades delivers this season’s standout looks. Thoughts + Giveaway: Pixi Products

Hi!

So as most of you might of seen from my previous post, I recently hauled a few Pixi by Petra products to try out. I have been using them for about 2 weeks now and here are my thoughts.

... but first here is my brief background

skin: combination ( oily t-zones, dry patches around cheeks)
color: medium-tan
other issues: I have allergies so I can be sensitive to certain products

current weather: hot

Pixi Illuminating Tint and Conceal in Bare Glow.

Info from web: This multipurpose beautifier does triple duty, acting as your moisturizer, sunscreen, and tinted treatment to provide sheer coverage that makes skin appear flawless & lit from within. Super-hydrating ingredients and protective SPF 20 keep your skin pampered. The perfecting tinted moisturizer in the tube goes on feather-light, leaves your skin looking naturally radiant, and can be layered for extra coverage. Take off the clear lid to reveal the full coverage concealer - a creme-to-powder formula that masks imperfections with a skin-loving combination of Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Vitamin C.

Thoughts:
- great as concealer and highlighting ( color is a bit too light for me to use all over face, would work better for light-medium skin tones)
- did not cause any skin irritation or problems
- gives good brightening effect with out looking too much
- last long under my eyes but did not control oil very well for my t-zones
- great to carry around with you for touch ups during the day

Overall I really like this product and would consider maybe getting it in a darker color so that I can use it as a tinted moisturizer. Since it doesn't have great oil control, it might work bet for me when it's not so hot out.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Fluid in No.3 Warm.

Info from web: Ultimate oil-free foundation makes skin look flawless while feeling weightless & comfortable on skin. Complexion is treated to vitamins and imperfections are erased, leaving a natural, "real skin" finish that will not budge. This do-it-all foundation softens and hydrates dry skin while providing potent oil-absorbers to balance skin and minimize pores. Oil-free, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, this is the ultimate flaw-fixer for all skin types.

Thoughts:
- very lightweight and easy to apply
- gives a light to medium coverage
- did not irritate skin or cause problems
- average oil control
- great packaging with pump

Overall this is a great foundation. I'm not a fan of thick and heavy formulas. It might not work well for people who need extra coverage but I enjoy the natural finish it gives. It's basically a my skin but better type of look. The color I picked also matched me pretty well so I am pleased. You can see a pic of me with the foundation below.
