I'm infatuated!..mini Etude Haul

Happy friday lovelies! We meet again on this joyous day hehe I've been meaning to do some FOTD's and EOTD's with all the new toys I have to play around with but I've been sleeping like a bear lately and haven't been waking up early enough to do much with my face besides slabbing on some moisturizer and lip balm. I'm definitely going to try some new looks out this weekend and hopefully have some FOTD's for you guys! :)

I did a little mini Etude House haul on Ebay awhile back ago. This seller on ebay ohmyalice was having a 15% off sale on a bunch of Etude products so I couldn't resist getting some. The only thing is that it takes awhile for you to receive it since it's coming from Korea. I think it took around 3 weeks for my package to arrive.

I've never tried any products from Etude before but of course having this weird habit of purchasing a lot of lip products (but never using them) I got:

1 - Dear Darling Ultra Shine Lipstick in Peach Milk
1 - Water Lipgloss in Peach
1 - Mascara fixer no smudge primer

Etude Mascara Fixer No Smudge Primer

PRODUCT INFO- Curling, Volume and Coating for extreme, long lasting eyelash expression. The more you use it, the healthy the lashes get. The black lash treatment ingredients provide nutrients to the lashes so that the lashes don’t fall off and be clear and healthy.

Thoughts - This goes on clear and you can apply it as a mascara base or a coat after you apply your mascara. I tried them both ways and they work great! As a base it gives my lashes more volume and curl, and as a coat it basically protects it from smudging. I'm really liking this since I have a problem with my mascara smudging at the end of the day sometimes. Would definitely re-purchase this since it does what it says and doesn't have a high price tag either.

Dear Darling Ultra Shine Lipstick in Peach Milk

PRODUCT INFO- Hydro-glossy polymer coats lips in a dual protective and shiny layer for ultra moist lip shine. Elastin Cushion, an ingredient that boosts suppleness and maintains smoothness for hours. Light High Reflection reflects light at all angles to keep lips looking their sparkling best.

Thoughts - I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS LIPSTICK!!!!!!! This is super moisturizing and glides on so smoothly and it smells like Japanese Flower Candy (sweet peachy smell). I have super dry and flakey lips and that is why I don't wear most of the lip products I purchase because they just don't work on me but I can actually put on this lipstick without using lip balm first. I got mine in Peach Milk which is a super cute baby pink color. It's not too pale or too bright and is perfect for everyday wear. The packaging is also adorable, overall this is my new favorite lipstick and is going to go in my make up bag! I'm already thinking of buying more and possibly all of them -___-. I'm so bad..when I like something or find something that works I tend to want to get the whole collection!

Japanese Flower Candies... mmmmmmm so good

Etude Watergloss Lipgloss in Peach

PRODUCT INFO- Jelly Polymer’s smooth texture supplies moisture and color coating to lips without hassle. Supplies glossy, wet look to lips with specially formulated hydro coating. Heart-shaped applicator adds glossy volume to lips. Comes in a variety of fruity colors.

Thoughts - I really like this lip gloss as well but i'm more in love with the lipstick! This has a nice sheer glossy finish and is not sticky at all. The packaging is really cute, the only thing is it doesn't have the yummy scent that the lipstick has. There is a tiny bit of tingly sensation when you apply it on, but it's so slight you barely even notice it. Overall I would definitely purchase more of this if I had some money leftover after buying all the lipsticks ! :)

Left - Lipstick w/out gloss
Right - Lipstick with gloss

I know you can't really see much difference, but obviously with the gloss my lips look much shinier. Please excuse my super pigmented upper lips, and just refer to my bottom lips for the true color lol. The picture doesn't do it justice but in real life the lipstick and gloss give my lips a nice innocent baby pink color.

I think i'm going to have a very busy weekend, there's so many birthdays in at the beginning of August!! Yay for Leos, i'm one myself...rawr!

Til next time...toodles!

Swap Package from Thailand + Photo Tag

Hello lovelies! I did a swap with a fellow blogger Tunie (http://tuniez83.blogspot.com/) from Thailand awhile back ago and finally received my packaged the other day. She has a really cute make up blog with awesome tutorials. This was my first ever attempt at swapping from someone from another country. At first I was getting kind of worried because she received mine within less than week after I sent it out, but I didn't get hers until about 2 weeks later. She wanted to try out stuff from Phsycian's Formula, and in return for that she got me some Majolica Majorca Palettes, KATE Palette, and a primer from Etude!

I was super excited when I saw all the goodies. She also threw in some Missha Super Aqua Water Supply Cream Samples. I actually tried some last night and they work pretty well, I'm actually considering getting a jar.
Majolica Majorca Jewelling Eyes in PK785 and GD 886. The colors are so cute, and so is the packaging. They remind me of doll accessories because they are actually really tiny and made out of light plastic.
KATE Glam Trick Eyes in BR-1 I absolutely adore the colors on this palette! I haven't tried it out yet but i'm loving it so far.

Etude Proof 10 Eye Primer. This is suppose to be a dupe of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. The bottle and applicator looks very similar to it. I actually tried this out today and it goes on really smooth and feels nice on my lids. So far so good! I think i'm going to be using this for the time being because it's easier to apply on my lids than the BE Prime Time which works great but the texture is kind of too thick for me at times.

Last but not least I got photo tagged by Denysia (http://hellodenysia.blogspot.com)! So these were the rules:

* Open my first photo folder
* Scroll down to the 10th photo
* Post that photo and story on my blog
* Tag five {or more} friends to do the same

My 10th picture is my cat Lucious (loo-shess) licking a popsicle lol. For some reason he likes popsicles, beef jerky, and bonito flakes. He refuses to eat any regular wet cat food. So he will only eat dry cat food and occasional treats. Sometimes I wish he would eat more wet food so he can get fat and round haha, but right now he's a skinny little boy. Everytime someone is eating a popsicle he is always around trying to get some :)

So i'm tagging the following ladies:

Tagged - 6 Things That Can Make Me Happy ^__*

Hello lovelies! I was tagged by Zoe (http://13december.blogspot.com), to do a "6 Things That Can Make Me Happy". She has one of the cutest blogs, I absolutely adore all her travelling photos. Thanks Zoe for the tag!

FOOD!

I love eating! lol Ever since I started watching the Food Channel I developed a new found love for food. Although I'm not a good cook, I enjoy trying out new recipes and exploring different cuisines whenever I have the chance.
" I live to eat, and not eat to live".

KARAOKE!

I'm not much of a singer, but everytime I get together with a group of friends for Karaoke it's always good times! (especially with a few drinks involved x_x)

BLOGGING!

Blogging has become part of my daily routine. The first thing I do every morning is check my email and then my blog. Not only do I love writing, but I enjoy reading posts from my favorite bloggers the most. On the days when no one posts anything, that's a sad day for me :(

MILK TEA!
I love drinking milk tea ever since I was in Highschool. I usually stick with the Original Milk Tea, but I have ventured out and tried Honeydew, Taro, Thai Tea, and all the other different flavors but Milk Tea is still my favorite! (...I want some now)

PETS!
I'm an animal lover, they always put a smile on my face. My favorite would probably be dogs, and second from that would be cats. My dream is to have a house with a big yard so I can have lots and lots of pets!

SLEEPING!

Sleeping is very important to me. I'm not a very happy camper when I don't get enough sleep. If I'm stressed out or want to relax, the first thing that comes to my mind is a nice good sleep.

So i'm going to Tag the following ladies (drum roll):

So this morning I decided try out some of the stuff I got from the Surprise Bag.

On my eyes I used the Aube Shiny Eyes which was a very cute shimmery beige color. It came with both a cream gel eyeshadow and a loose powder shadow. I tried using a little bit of the loose powder but since both the gel and the powder were shimmery I felt that using both was a shimmer overdose. I really like the texture and color.

For my face I tried out the Shills Cherry Blossom BB Cream. From the tube I thought it was going to be too light for me but it actually blended well with my skin tone. It had a light flowery scent, and I felt it brightened up my face. So far I haven't had any problems with it, but it is only my first day. So far I'm liking this stuff! It might replace my TM for awhile because that has been making me look really tan lately.

Til next time...toodles!

Surprise Make Up Goody Bag + Blogger Buddie Award

zzz ZZzzz Hello! Hope you guys are having a good day and not sleepy like me. I stayed up til about 2am last night and just feel like a zombie this morning. The only thing that kind of sparked me up a little bit was the Suprise Make Up Goody bag I got from Kathy (lotus palace sales) that I purchased awhile back. She has one of the best blog sales especially for Japanese makeup, but most of the time her items are already all sold out by the time I get there. So while browsing her sales I noticed she offered surprise bags and it sounded really exciting because who doesn't like surprises? So I figured I'd get one! These are the surprise bags that she is offering (I think she is still selling these for anyone who is interested)

3 items (randomly selected, might include sampled mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss or lipstick) US$15 incl. shipping

5 items (randomly selected, might include sampled mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss or lipstick) US$24 incl. shipping

10 items (randomly selected, might included sampled mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss or lipstick) US$39
Stuff included will be mostly Japanese, might be that I toss in some Korean items

I went all out and got the 10 items because I figured if I was going to be surprised it might as well be a big one? :)

It came in these cute litte bags! (minus the diet coke)

Items I got:
-Shills 6 in 1 BB Cream
-Shiseido Automatic Lip Crayon in LC4
-Ettusais Aquatic Shimmer Gloss
-Shu Uemura Gloss Unlimited in PK335n
-Aube Gel & Shine Eyes 04
-Rouge Kiss Lipstick in Berry Kiss
-Maquillage Lipstick PK256
-Testimo Blush PK 20
-Canmake Glitter Eyes 03
-Excel Eyeshadow D15

and 2 free Facial Masks!

I think it was a pretty good deal at $39 for 10 items (shipping already included) it came out to be around only $3.50 per item! *STEAL* Much cheaper than buying individual items from blog sales. The only downfall is that you don't get to pick, but you can however let her know what kind of items and what brands you prefer. I didn't really have a preference so I just let her pick. It's also a good way to try out some different products because i'm not too familiar with Japanese Brands.

I was drinking some coconut juice today and thought the bottle cap was adorable...although it didn't bring me much happiness because the juice itself didin't taste that good :/

Last but not least I received this Blogger Buddie Award from Oh Puffcake! Thank you so much! She's one of the sweetest girl out there and has always supported me and left me nice comments.
Rules : Pass this award on to bloggers you feel are friendly (hence blogger "buddie" :D) and interesting posters as well!

So I wanted to award this to everyone who has supported me by reading, following, and commenting on my blog! I'm still quite new at this so really appreciate everyone's support, it's what drives me and makes me want to blog and share more. Thank all you guys for being so kind and sweet.

So Puffcake you can add a x2 to your Blogger Buddie award :)

Love you all :)!!! xoxo

La Mer Sample Haul and review

Hello lovely ladies! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It's been so hot lately that it discourages me from wearing any make up or trying new looks because i'm already sweaty half way through the make up process. I'm also sort of on a spending freeze so I'm trying really hard to control my urge to shop. For now I just put stuff I want on a wishlist, which is growing and growing by the minute! I still have a few stuff coming my way from my past purchases so that should hold me over for a bit.

Today i'm going to share with you my thoughts on La Mer products. I know i'm pretty behind because most of you have probably already tried stuff from this highly raved brand. The reason I was always so hesitant to purchase anything is because it is just so damn pricey! Since there was so many things I wanted to try from them I decided to just do a haul of their sample sizes that way I can see which products I liked from them before burning a hole in my wallet.

So here is the rundown of all the samples I got:
3 Original Creme La Mer
2 Eye Concentrate
1 Hand Treatment

Now that I think about it, with the total price of all these samples combined I could of gotten 1 full size of something :/

I have been using all these products for approximately 1 month..and still continuing to use them ( I haven't used up any of my samples yet)

The infamous Creme De La Mer: Crème de la Mer's Miracle Broth™ is suspended within its extraordinary formula. To activate the broth and release its key ingredients, warm a small amount between your fingertips. As you pat onto clean, dry skin, you will instantly feel the soothing effects of the broth. Smooth over your face, neck, even under the fragile eye area. Apply day and night – for a lifetime.

Thoughts: I don't use this both day and night as suggested. The cream itself is really thick and heavy that I only apply it on at night. This is a great hydrating moisturizer. My skin felt soft, smooth, and had a healthy glow every morning after using this. In my opinion this cream doesnt diminish existing wrinkles or fine lines, but it is a good cream to use as a preventive measure. Overall this is a really good in sealing moisture into your skin thus leaving it radiant, glowing, and healthy looking. I feel that this cream is best for people with dry skin because it is thick and does not go on matte. My face tends to look really shiny when appylying this, but I guess it's ok because I only used it for night time. I'm not sure I would purchase the full size anytime soon because it is so pricey. I feel that you can still find a good hydrating moisturizer for a better price than this.

The Eye Concentrate: An ultraluxe eye treatment that dissolves the appearance of lines and wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.

Thoughts: This is my favorite product out of all the La Mer products that I've tried. The texture of this eye cream is like no other. It feels like you are applying soft silky cloud puffs on your eyes. When I apply it I can what comes to my mind is "Oh! So luxurious!". I apply this on both day and night. The cream does everything that it says. It reduces puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. I have really deep lines and a bit of crows feet around my eye area and after a month of using this I can already see a big difference. It really did improve the texture of my skin and is slowly diminishing my wrinkles. I've tried other eye creams and nothing has worked or compares to this. I would gladly be poor and not eat for a month and purchase this cream! :D *Love it!*

The Hand Treatment: A silky formulation that resurfaces, protects and heals the hands.

Thoughts: The texture and feel of this hand cream is really nice. It's not too thick and not too watery. It absorbs quickly and has a nice light scent. I used this cream at night only because the sample was so small that I was afraid to use it up too quickly. So far I haven't really seen much improvement. My hands have started to look really old lately and little fine lines are starting to form, so i've been looking for a really good hand cream. I think like the Creme De La Mer, this also is a good preventive cream. It is very moisturizing and probably is good in preventing future damages. Overall this is a good hand cream but just one with a high price. I would maybe one day purchase this again if I have the spare funds.

Other La Mer products I want to try : The Lip Balm, The Cleansing Oil, and their Foundation

anyone tried any of these yet? Thoughts?

I was attempting to clean and organize my make up area a few days ago and found this Ikea Desk Organizer, and thought that it some how would make a good make up organizer. I decided to give it a try and put my most used in it for easy reach. It actually worked out pretty well and now it has become my little make up console. The box itself was looking to plain and un-pretty so I doodled some random drawings on there haha. I also gave it a name, "The Pretty Box".... :p

I've also been toying around with the XiuXiu Meitu program eversince I saw it on Fuz's blog. It was a bit confusing at first because I couldn't read Chinese, but I got the hang of it after awhile. They have so many options and cool features, I still haven't explored them all. Here's what I came up with haha. I thought the text was hilarious, i'm not sure what it actually means "For you real longer" ...but text looks cute!

Til next time...toodles!

Korres haul - mini ebay haul - FOTD

Happy hump day beautiful bloggers! I got my Korres stuff which I had purchased during their 20% off deal a few days ago. I haven't tried many Korres stuff besides their watermelon Sunscreen which I absolutelyl love. What's so intriguing about Korres is that they use all natural ingredients, that their stuff doesn't contain harmful chemicals. Besides that, most of their products smells really goooooood....

So here's what I got:
-Basil Lemon Body Scrub
-Jumbo Melon Body Butter
-Yogurt Moisturizer for Dehydrated and Oily Skin

I also got a bonus pouch with samples (guava body butter, wild rose moisturizer, evening primrose eyecream)

They are still giving away the bonus pouch with deluxe samples with every order!

Reviews:

Basil Lemon Body Scrub
• Combination of ground Bamboo with Jojoba beads effectively removes dead cells and improves microcirculation.
• Sodium, Magnesium, Zinc and Manganese multimineral combination works to restore energy to skin cells and hydrates the skin.

Thoughts- This actually had very little scent. I was actually expecting a nice citrus lemony scent, since most Korres products are pretty scented. The scrub itself is just like any other body scrubs with medium size exfoliating beads. After using it a few times I would have to say it works pretty well. My skin feels nice and soft afterwards and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry. I wouldn't say that this product is a must-have for me, but I would definitely consider re-purchasing it in another scent.

Melon Body Butter
• Melon Body Butter is enriched with Shea Butter to soften, moisturize & restructure the skin.
• A proprietary blend of Sunflower, Almond & Avocado Oils restores skin’s elasticity & smoothness.
• Quince extract acts as a soothing agent to heal and nourish stressed skin.

Thoughts - I love melons (the actual fruit, the juices, and anything melon scented), and that is why I decided to pick up this body butter. I was actually expecting a really sweet smelling honeydew or cantaloupe sort of scent but instead it smelled like Mangos! I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I was just not expecting it. The scent is very tropical and sweet. I use this daily as an overall body moisturizer. I have to say I love Korres Body Butters, they absorb into your skin very nicely, and doesn't leave a thick, greasy, or sticky feeling on your skin afterwards. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturized. I would definitely re-purchase this again, but probably not in this scent. The other scents I want to try are Jasmine and Clementine.

Yogurt Moisturizer for Dehydrated and Oily Skin
• Organic Yogurt, a natural source of lactose, proteins, minerals and vitamins, increases the moisture levels in the upper layers of the skin without inciting any additional oil production
• Yogurt’s high content of minerals and vitamins provides antioxidant protection and helps reduce the visible signs of ageing.
• Rich in proteins, a basic component of the skin, and lactose, yogurt nourishes and restructures the top layers of the skin, strengthening and fortifying the surface
• Yogurt’s soothing vitamins E and D help relieve and heal the effects of irritation and sensitive skin concerns
• Antioxidant and hydration boosters include macadamia nut oil, olive oil and wheat starch that nourish and comfort the skin while allowing it to breathe

Thoughts - I picked up this moisturizer because I have dry and oily skin, and this product sounded very promising. The moisturizer itself has a very nice and light texture that was really easy to apply. It absorbed into my skin well and left my skin looking matte. I've been using this for a few days, and so far it hasn't caused me any problems and my skin feels pretty moisturized with this on. I'm actually really loving this moisturizer. There also isn't much scent to it either, which is really nice because I don't like my face moisturizers to be heavily scented. Someone at work also asked me if I did anything to my face lately because it looks more glowy that usual. Im guessing it could possibly be because of the change in moisturizer and my skin is more well hydrated, but I could who knows?

My mini ebay haul

I picked up some Coffret D'or Star Dazzling Eyeliners. The colors looked really cute and they reminded me of the Lunasol Geminate Eyeliners that i've been wanting so I got these instead.

I got 2 of them. One in BR-32 which is a glittlery golden brown color with a hint of black. The second one I got is in DB-03 which is a glittery dark blue color. I love them both dearly, they are so pretty!!

Here's how they look on my eyes, I was playing around with them last night.

Last but not least my FOTD. It's just a simple every day look with the addition of my new eyeliner :)

Products Used:
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
Coffret D'or Summer Palette in 01 (just the light beige color on the lids)
Coffret D'or Eyeliner in BR-32
MAC Mineral Blush in Gentle
Revlon Lipstick in Heart Warmings
Majolica Majorca Gorgeous Wing Mascara

New Obsession! Koji Takako False Eyelashes

I've been having an obsession with false eyelashes sine last year. Since I have such thin, straight, and short eyelashes, false eyelashes have always seem to be the answer. I really wanted to get eyelash extensions at one point but they cost so much and you have to get it re-done every few months, so it wasn't something affordable to me.

I started buying false eyelashes like crazy. I felt I needed to try out different kinds to see what suits me best. I bought a bunch from Ebay, Online Shops, and random beauty stores I came across. After all that spending I discovered that I'm terrible at applying false eyelashes and I can't stand wearing them! I probably ruined about 10 good pairs in the process of trial and error. I know how to apply them properly now (phew!), but I ended up not ever using them or wearing them, because they just didn't feel natural to me. I think the only time I ever used them was for halloween or something.

This is my false eyelashes collection (the one's that survived)

So I pretty much gave up on wearing falsies until I found these (drum roll).... Koji Takako Style Eylashes (or lash ends). These look really natural and are so easy to apply. What I like about them the most is that they are lash ends, which means you only have to apply it at the tip of your eyelashes. The one big problem I had about applying regular falsh eyelashes was to get it to fit perfectly along the curves of my lash line. These also are very light and doesn't even feel like you are wearing anything! I heart them :)

I got my first pair in Celeb Nude. They come in little cute heart cases.
This is what they look like on me

Doesn't it look natural? Can hardly tell i'm wearing anything, but yet it makes my eyes look sweeter and more innocent looking (awwww...) I actually wore this for 1 whole day without any problems!! Usually i'll yank off my falsies after about 2-3 hours of wearing them :/. (excuse the dark circles and puffy eyes.. just woke up)

These are the ones I want to get next! They are all so cute, can't wait to try them all!
They also have regular eyelashes from this brand, so I might eventually just try those too out of curiosity.

My lash addiction is back again..full force (fear wallet..fear!)
