Hello lovelies! How is everyone's weekend going? It has been cold and gloomy all week but all of a sudden it got really hot during the weekend! It basically feels like summer all over again, warm enough that you can walk around with just a tank top and shorts on even late at night. Hopefully it will stay this way for a bit and not go back to cold mode again once the work week starts.
I have been on a nail polish frenzy lately, mainly because I've been painting my nails on a weekly basis. Another reason is that they are usually cheaper than other beauty products so it's easy to justify picking up one or 2 nail polishes here and there when you are on a budget.
Wet n Wild nail polishes are quite affordable ranging from 99 cents to $1.99 each and they sometimes have a nice selection of colors. The only thing is that they are a hit and miss sometimes with their formula depending on what color you get. I picked up a Megalast nail polish in 2% Milk. This color really caught my attention because I was looking for just a plain simple everyday color and who can resist with a name like 2% Milk? hehe Although in real life 2% Milk is my least favorite because it is just too watery! I prefer low fat or just plain whole milk.
2% Milk looks like a Milky Beige color in the bottle.
This is 2 coats of it and it is still not opaque enough and was still a bit streaky. The formula wasn't the easiest to work with and I tried doing 3 coats but it just appeared too goopy and gunky looking. I really like how the color looks but I wish it wasn't so sheer.
I decided to glam it up a little bit by putting some Barry M glitter on the tips.
Overall it's a love and hate with this one because I adore the color but hate the formula! But for the cheap price tag I guess it will have to do hehe
I love Barry M nail paints! I wish it was more readily available in the US.
