Review: Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer and possible dupe!

Hello!  I hope everyone is doing well.  Sorry for the lack of posts, life suddenly got busy for me again but I still remind myself every day that I need to get back to blogging!  I really miss the blog world and I feel so out dated with what's been going on lately.  Right now work is really hectic and I'm also in the middle of moving to a new apt soon.  The move in date is May 9th, so I definitely have to start packing this weekend.

Today I wanted to share with you my current HG concealer.  I use this stuff every day and concealer is definitely a product I have to put on before leaving the house.

Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer

Description (Sephora):

Smooth and velvety, this intensively moisturizing concealer has unique treatment properties to help minimize the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.

Advancing mineral makeup technology, Fresh Glow Powder Makeup blends 100% natural, mineral pigments with Dior's exclusive active mineralized water. Diorskin Nude delivers flawless, glowing skin that actually improves over time. Nude Mineralized Water contains a selection of four major mineral elements, completed by four other active ingredients:
-Magnesium: Promotes the cellular anabolic process and participates in the synthesis of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.
-Copper: Improves the organization of dermal collagen and boosts anti-free radical action.
-Zinc: Participates in cellular renewal and promotes healing. It also has a defensive action against free radicals.
-Rhodolite: A semi-precious stone, provides manganese. Manganese protects the mitochondria, which produce energy in the cells. It accelerates the synthesis of collagen and carbohydrates present in the dermis. Finally, it acts on the DEJ (Dermal-Epidermal Junction) for better cohesion between the epidermis and dermis.

It comes in a convenient portable tube and has a small and pointy dispensing tip for easy control of squeezing out the right amount of product.  The color I use is Beige 002, which is about a shade lighter than my actual skin tone.

At first I thought that the tube looked kind of small and that I would probably use it up in no time.  I have been using this for about 3 months every single day and there's probably still about 40% left!  A little does really go a long way so it will last you awhile.

Here's a picture of my under eyes before applying any concealer.  I don't really have severe dark circles but I do have some dark/bruise looking spots.  I also feel that this concealer has some what improve the appearance of my under eyes because I definitely think it use to look way worse before.

Nothing like a freshly applied concealer in the morning!  I was so amazed the first time I tried this concealer because it didn't feel like a concealer, it felt more like a very hydrating eye cream.  It felt really smooth and silky.

It is also very pigmented and covered up my under eye area really well.  For people who need a higher coverage, I feel that this concealer can be easily layered on.

Since the formula is so creamy I usually just use my fingers to blend it in.

Here's the final results!  I usually apply powder to set the concealer right after.  The best thing about this concealer is that it is hydrating and it does not crease on me.  I have some visible fine lines and any concealer that is drying or creases will sink into those lines immediately!  I think the only bad thing I could think about this concealer is that it doesn't contain SPF.

This retails for $28USD on Sephora which is a tad bit pricey but for a great product that works well it can be worth it!

Drugstore Dupe
Revlon Age Defying Concealer

The medium coverage formula with SPF blends away imperfections, for a radiant, flawless finish.Formulated for your skin type. Available in a hydration-rich Dry Skin formula and an oil-free Normal / Combination Skin formula.

I had heard good reviews about this concealer so decided to pick up a tube to try during a BOGO sale.  The packaging definitely reminded me of the Dior concealer!

Too bad the dispensing tip is not as good as the Dior because sometimes too much product comes out.  After trying for the first time I noticed how very similar the formula was to Dior as well.  This concealer also feels more like an eye cream than a concealer.  The texture is a bit thicker than Dior but it is still very smooth and creamy.

The color I got was Medium.  I would say this is a very close drugstore Dupe of the Dior concealer except that this concealer did crease on me just a tad after the end of the day.  This is probably because I have very dry under eye area and this concealer is not as hydrating as the Dior one, but still a very good product!

I'm not sure about the anti-aging properties since I haven't been using it for a long period of time.  If you're curious about the Dior concealer and want to try out a cheaper version I suggest you check out Revlon!  If you like it then you will definitely love the Dior.

The Revlon concealer also contains SPF which is a big plus!

Retails for $13.99USD which is not that cheap, so wait out for BOGO deals.

Random Outfits

I have kind of been on a tunic/dress + tights combo lately.  I guess I am secretly gearing up for summer but since the weather is still cold out it's essential to add the tights and jacket to pull it off.

This is an outfit I wore to a friend's Birthday Dinner.  My bf thinks it looks like a short prom dress haha  I guess it kinda does, but I thought it was doable.

Hope you guys are having a great week!  This weekend will be filled with packing and catching up on blog-reading for me.

Til next time....toodles!
