Recent Buys: Drugstore Lip Products

Greetings lovelies!  Long time no blog once again.  I keep promising myself I would get back into the track of things but I guess it's harder than I thought once you lose that momentum.

I hope everyone is doing well!  Even though I haven't posted in awhile but my love for beauty products which leads to my constant buying has not lessened!   Nowadays I have been buying a lot more drugstore products than I use to, this is because my work is located right across the street so I would go there almost every single day during my breaks.

So today I wanted to share with you guys the lip products that I have accumulated (haha yes, just lip products for now but there's more!) over the past month.  I'll also include little mini reviews to let you know what I think of them so far.

Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks in Coral and Peach

I wanted to try more of the Revlon Colorburst lipsticks after falling in love with the one I got in Soft Rose (dupe of Chanel Mademoiselle).  I ended picking up 2 during a BOGO sale in Coral and Peach.

I love the packaging, it's so cute and sleek!

Coral (Left):  Bright red coral color (very pigmented)
Peach (Right):  Frosty champagne peach color (goes on kind of sheer and has to be layered for intensity)

Revlon Colorburst lipsticks are usually pretty creamy in texture.  If you have nice hydrated lips you can probably easily apply these alone but I have really dry lips so applying a layer of lip balm underneath really helps me get a smooth application.  They don't last incredibly long and you will probably have to re-apply once every 2 hours, but if you are like me and is constantly drinking and eating then maybe once every 30 minutes lol

Coral is my favorite out of these two because it is very pigmented and vibrant!  Peach is a little too sheer and frosty for me, but I think it's a gorgeous color for you ladies with a more fairer skin tone.

L'OREAL Infallible Lip Glosses

After seeing Fuz's (fuzkittie) review on these lip glosses I had to get them!  I ended up getting the plumping and the regular kind to try out.  I picked up the infallable plumping in plumped tawny and the infallable in sunset.

These glosses have an interesting sponge tip applicator.  They are quite nice and makes application a breeze.  The texture of these glosses are very smooth and not sticky at all.  The plumping one has a little minty tingly sensation while the regular one doesn't.

Plumped Tawny (Left):  Milky rose color with really subtle shimmers
Sunset (Right): Peachy pink color with shimmers

I think these glosses are quite nice but for me they don't last as long as I expected (especially if you are always drinking or eating like me), but I do like that they are very smooth, non-sticky, and doesn't feel dry on my lips.

N.Y.C. Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm

I also had to get this after seeing Holly's (hollyanneaeree) review on it.  The color I got was sugar coated which is a really cute sheer baby pink color.

It was so hard to swatch this because there's barely much color and it actually doesn't show up on my lips at all since I have super pigmented lips.  The tinted lip balm has the texture of any regular jar lip balms which has a vaseline-feel to it.

I don't find it too moisturizing for my lips, but I have abnormally dry lips but overall these tinted lip balms are really nice.  I think I'm going to try a darker color next time.

CVS Focus on Lips Moisture Mint Gloss SPF15

I noticed that CVS had this line called "Focus on Lips" and I was intrigued by the nice and simple packaging.  I decided to get the moisture mint gloss to try out.  They also have a lip scrub, line filler, and I think some sort of lip repair.

The gloss comes out clear and feels nice and tingly on your lips.  It contains peppermint oil and reminds me a lot of C.O Bigelow's mentha lip, so if you like those you will like this stuff.

CVS 75% Items
CVS is having their 75% sale going on right now.  The products that goes on sale is pretty random and depends on which location you go to.  You will just have to look around and hunt for that 75% sticker!

Here are the things that I got:

Milani Buzz Worthy Lip Gloss in Bee Bold and Bee Mine

I have never tried these glosses before and they are amazingly nice!  They contain honey and feels really moisturizing on the lips.

Bee Mine (Left) Bee Bold (Right)

L'OREAL Colour Juice and Rimmel Kiss & Stay Lip Gloss

I got the L'oreal Colour Juice in Chai Latte, and the Rimmel Kiss & Stay Lip Gloss in First Kiss.

I am so impressed with the Rimmel Kiss & Stay!  It really does stay on my lips even after eating and drinking.  Unless I wipe it off myself it literally stays put.

Chai Latte (Left) Rimmel Kiss & Stay ( Middle (top coat), Right (base coat))

This is First Kiss on my lips, it's a really pretty raspberry fuschia color.

L'OREAL Infallable Lipstick

I was curious to try the lipstick after trying the gloss and this was 75% so couldn't resist!  I got one in the color Amber.

I don't really care for the packaging that much, but the color Amber is really nice but does not stay as long as the Rimmel Kiss & Stay after eating and drinking.

That's all for today, hope everyone is enjoying the 3 day weekend!  Anyone seen Sex and the City 2 yet?  I saw it on Wednesday at midnight and loved it.  I hope they make a 3rd one hehe...
