Beautyticket Haul: NARS and Hourglass

Hello Lovers,
I hope all is well in everyone's world.  I think recently my beauty diet has been failing slowly since I started noticing I've been buying random stuff here and there again!  I guess you can't keep away from what you love for too long.

Beautyticket.com was having a private sale (for VIP members who are registered on their website) on NARS cosmetics so I really couldn't resist since NARS is one of my favorite brands.  I actually checked out their website at midnight right when the sale started and had wanted so many things but I figured I was being too impulsive so I wanted to sleep on it and look again the next day....BIG MISTAKE! lol The next day I checked more than half the stuff were already sold out.  Whatever was left was very slim pickings, so I grabbed what I could.

(FYI : Beautyticket is having another private sale this week on Urban Decay stuff, so if you are interested you need to sign up to be a VIP member on their website, it's free!)

I grabbed the last 2 colors that were left of the NARS single eyeshadow in Sugarbaby and Java.

The packaging is small, compact, and cute!

Sugarbaby - Matte baby blue color
Java - Orange brown color with a hint of shimmers

Both shadows have a nice and smooth texture and great pigmentation!  Java is gorgeous and perfect when paired with a bronze or gold color.   Sugarbaby is a really cute color but I'm a little disappointed in the lasting power.

I also picked up the liquid eyeliners in Showgirl and Lakme.

I mainly got these because the packaging looked so darn cute.  They basically look like mini nail polishes.

They come with these cute little eyeliner brushes that you use to dip in the bottle to grab some product.

Lakme - Lilac with hints of silver glitter
Showgirl - Gold with hints of sliver glitter

I love these!  The colors are so gorgeous and you can use these as eyeliner or even as an eyeshadow base.  They have a creamy-liquidy texture and kind of remind me of Paul & Joe eye glosses.

I never knew NARS sold hand wipes, so I picked some up to try.

They kind of smell minty like Vick's vapor rub so I'm not really too fond of them.  They do, do a good job of cleaning your hands and wiping off make up.

A week before the NARS private sale there was another one for Hourglass cosmetics.  I have never tried anything from this brand so I was curious.  The lip glosses got really high reviews on MUA so I decided to try one.

This is an extreme sheen lip gloss and the color I got is called Ignite.  The color is sheer champagne rose color.

This gloss is amazing!  It smells like warm vanilla and is super creamy and not sticky at all!  They feel very luxurious on my lips.  My lips are pretty pigmented so you can't really see much color on my lips but in real life  they make my lips naturally glossy.  There is pigmentation to these glosses so for you girls that have nice baby pink lips they will probably show up better.  I love wearing this alone on my minimal make up days or put it over any lipstick I'm wearing that day, it goes well with every color!

I really want to explore more Hourglass lipglosses now.

I also got the Fluid Make Up with SPF 15, since it also got high reviews on MUA.

I like the fact that it's oil free and has SPF which is perfect right now since it's summer.  On the reviews a lot of people said that this felt really light, which was a big plus.

The color I got was Sand which is for Medium Skintones.

I can't say much about this product yet because I haven't really used it.  I tried it on the back my hand and the texture was very nice and felt like a tinted moisturizer.  After blending it out it left a nice dewy finish.

Everyday Summer Face

Summer has creeped in and the weather has been nice and warm here lately.  I usually don't like to wear too much make up when it's hot because I have oily skin, so I don't want my make up to melt away!

My usual routine is sunscreen, concealer, powder, blush, lip gloss, and maybe a hint of eyeshadow if I'm not lazy.

(sorry eyebrows need to be groomed..eek)

I'm loving gold, bronze, and coral this season.

...and of course got to have my summer shades to protect me from those harmful rays!

I''m obsessed with this coral lip gloss at the moment.  The color is so pretty and the formula is amazing.  Revlon Lipgloss in Coral Reef.  This is limited edition so grab it now before they are gone.

Another product I've been loving is the N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink.  This is a super cute peachy pink color.  I like to put this on as a blush base and apply powder blush on stop for staying power on those hot sweaty days.

The texture is very nice and blends very easily.

It looks bright and scary when you first swipe it but once you blend it out it's pretty sheer!

I'm wearing this alone on my cheeks.  It's gives you a very nice flushed glow.  This color is also limited edition but they do have other colors that are permanent.

That's all for today, dinner time!  BF is making baked potatoes with sour cream, bacon, cheese, green onions lol  No bikini for me this summer!

p.s. - I try to post sales and deals that I find on twitter or my fbook page, so please follow me on there if you're interested!

Beauty Lover's Must Have: Vanity Table

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  It has been super hot here in L.A. and it feels like summer. So as most of you know I recently moved into a new place.  I made a promise to myself before the move that I would invest in a proper vanity table.  After all shouldn't every beauty-holic have one?  Before the purchase, my make up station was basically a pile of boxes and drawers where I would sit with a small little mirror and do my daily routine.  The piles and boxes was getting more and more as my addiction kept growing.

So I finally decided that it was time for a proper beauty station!  I saw this table at  my local Target and absolutely had to have it.  The table came with the mirror but the stool was sold separately.

What I really like about this set is the 3-way mirror.  There were other ones that were nice but they had a single mirror which I didn't really like.  I also love the simple white color and the shabby chic feel.

If the mirror had some lights it would be perfect!

I also found this cute container to store my make up brushes!  I am still not happy with the ones I have and feel that I need to invest in a proper set.  We painted our living room walls red so I thought it would be a cool little photo op hehe.

The drawers come with dividers where you can adjust according to how big or small you want them.  I put my random skincare items in the middle, blushes/bronzers/powders on the right, and random eye stuff on the left.  I initially thought that this would be enough storage but I was wrong, so I had to pick out the stuff I would most likely use.

The stool is my favorite since it opens up and  you can store stuff inside!  Yay for more storange.

So I ended up storage all my sheet masks and random false eyelashes in here.

Unfortunately the table didn't have enough storage for all my stuff so I ended up having to store some stuff in these plastic drawers.

These are just random lipsticks, lipgloss, pigments, foundations, and eye gels/pencils.

I also needed another container for more skincare and hair stuff.  Besides that I also have another box filled with back ups and other miscellaneous that I don't use which is actually stored away in my closet.

My friend actually came over the other day and was like , " Why do you have so much make up products you don't even wear any!" lol.  I mean I do wear make up just not on a regular day basis so I think most people are surprised at why I buy so much, but I consider it my hobby to collect!

What about you, how do you girls store and organize your beauty products?

Other news....

I've been addicted to this thai song recently by Waii Playgirl.  I also really like the way she looks, she has a really cute baby face.

Have a wonderful day lovelies!
