Hi pretties! This weekend I got a chance to meet Kalmo (Cambo Soup) and Diane (Orange2LA) for the very first time! I was pretty nervous at first but after we met and talked it was just like hanging out with close friends.
We all met up at 3rd street Santa Monica which has an outdoor shopping area that consists of Sephora, MAC, Lush, Victoria Secret, Forever21, H&M and more! It's a great place for shopaholics but dangerous for the wallet. Kalmo brought me a little goody bag with some sheet masks, and CO Bigelow lip balm! Time flies when you are having fun and I ended up staying there from 11:30am - 9:30pm. We had lunch together, shopped, talked (blogssip), had coffee/ice cream (Kalmo had ice cream), and then shopped some more! Denysia came out to meet us a little later in the evening but I had to cut early because the bf was waiting to go have dinner.
I had such a great time with both ladies and I have Kalmo to thank for putting it all together. She is super cute and sweet as she is on her blog, if not sweeter! As for Diane she is gorgeous, funny, and I had so much fun hanging out with her. I hope we can all get together again, it was so nice to have someone to talk about beauty products with!
Since the blogger meeting sorta felt like a first date haha.. I decided it was a good chance to try out the false eyelashes that Revlon sent me. They contacted me by email asking if I was interested in trying out their products and possibly doing a review of them on my blog or just simply by giving my thoughts to them through email.
They sent me 2 eyelashes and 3 press on nails. I was a bit disappointed at first because I really wanted to try the self adhesive eyelashes (since I suck at applying falsies) but they sent me the glue on ones instead which I am terrible at applying!
Fantasy Lengths Eyelashes in Flirty
These are my favorite and the ones I wore to the blogger meet up.
Fantasy Lenghts in Intensifying
These made my eyes look really dramatic and are great for going out at night.
Flirty on me!
I think they really enhanced my eyes without looking too un-natural.
I had a tough time putting these on as I usually do with falsies. I made such a mess and there's a bunch of glue on the lashes that I had to try to hide by coloring it in with a black eyeliner lol.
Once they were on they felt pretty natural. These lashes are super light, flexible, and have a very thin band.
I didn't use the glue that came with it because I didn't want to take the risk of my eyelashes falling off in the middle of the day. The lashes stayed on all day for me with no problem.
The Revlon lashes have a thin invisible band unlike other brand of lashes that have a thick black band. This means that wearing an eyeliner is a must or else it would look weird on your eyes.
The pros of having a thin invisible band is that it's more flexible and easier for you to fit it to your eye shape. The cons of it is that it is very flimsy and fragile so if you some how squish it or fold it in a wrong way you might ruin the shape. Another thing is that I don't think it has many re-uses because when I took mine off at the end of the day it already looked pretty beat up.
Overall I would re-purchase these lashes again in Flirty because I love light and natural they feel on my eyes!
These nails are super cute and are easy to apply. I'm thinking of wearing the red ones for Valentine's Day! They last about a week for me (because I'm clumsy and aren't really careful with them), but if you treat them well I bet they would stay on for 2 weeks!
I definitely think these are nice to have in stock in case you need to get your nails done at the last minute for a party or event!
Blogger Meet Up Hauls!
I got the 9 products for $25 deal at Lush! I got the Squeaky Clean Shampoo Bar, Vanishing Cream Sample Jar, and Seaweed Mask. The rest of the stuff in the box were default and you couldn't pick.
Picked up Korres Jasmine Lip Butter after hearing great reviews about it. It does smell like cotton candy and feels good on my lips! Not sure if it heals my dry lips but it just feels nice on.
Stopped by Victoria's Secret and got hooked on their new scent Coconut Passion since Diane pointed out how it smelled like Vanilla Cake Batter. Not sure why it's called Coconut Passion, I don't smell Coconut at all!
Also got some stuff at Forever 21 and had fun picking out clothes and accessories with Kalmo! I could of definitely spent way more but the bags were getting heavy.
Blogger girls are awesome, I wish all you ladies lived near by :)
Til next time...toodles!
*NOTE: All Revlon products were sent to me for consideration by the company. I was not paid or am I affiliated with the company. All reviews are based on my own personal experiences and honest opinion.
All other products mentioned in this post was purchased by me and my poor wallet once again.
