Blogger Meet Up with my Revlon Eyelashes

Hi pretties!  This weekend I got a chance to meet Kalmo (Cambo Soup) and Diane (Orange2LA) for the very first time!  I was pretty nervous at first but after we met and talked it was just like hanging out with close friends.

We all met up at 3rd street Santa Monica which has an outdoor shopping area that consists of Sephora, MAC, Lush, Victoria Secret, Forever21, H&M and more!  It's a great place for shopaholics but dangerous for the wallet.  Kalmo brought me a little goody bag with some sheet masks, and CO Bigelow lip balm!  Time flies when you are having fun and I ended up staying there from 11:30am - 9:30pm.  We had lunch together, shopped, talked (blogssip), had coffee/ice cream (Kalmo had ice cream), and then shopped some more!  Denysia came out to meet us a little later in the evening but I had to cut early because the bf was waiting to go have dinner.

I had such a great time with both ladies and I have Kalmo to thank for putting it all together.  She is super cute and sweet as she is on her blog, if not sweeter!  As for Diane she is gorgeous, funny, and I had so much fun hanging out with her.  I hope we can all get together again, it was so nice to have someone to talk about beauty products with!

Since the blogger meeting sorta felt like a first date haha.. I decided it was a good chance to try out the false eyelashes that Revlon sent me.  They contacted me by email asking if I was interested in trying out their products and possibly doing a review of them on my blog or just simply by giving my thoughts to them through email.

They sent me 2 eyelashes and 3 press on nails.  I was a bit disappointed at first because I really wanted to try the self adhesive eyelashes (since I suck at applying falsies) but they sent me the glue on ones instead which I am terrible at applying!

Fantasy Lengths Eyelashes in Flirty

These are my favorite and the ones I wore to the blogger meet up.

Fantasy Lenghts in Intensifying

These made my eyes look really dramatic and are great for going out at night.

Flirty on me!

I think they really enhanced my eyes without looking too un-natural.

I had a tough time putting these on as I usually do with falsies.  I made such a mess and there's a bunch of glue on the lashes that I had to try to hide by coloring it in with a black eyeliner lol.

Once they were on they felt pretty natural.  These lashes are super light, flexible, and have a very thin band.

I didn't use the glue that came with it because I didn't want to take the risk of my eyelashes falling off in the middle of the day.  The lashes stayed on all day for me with no problem.

The Revlon lashes have a thin invisible band unlike other brand of lashes that have a thick black band.  This means that wearing an eyeliner is a must or else it would look weird on your eyes.

The pros of having a thin invisible band is that it's more flexible and easier for you to fit it to your eye shape.  The cons of it is that it is very flimsy and fragile so if you some how squish it or fold it in a wrong way you might ruin the shape.  Another thing is that I don't think it has many re-uses because when I took mine off at the end of the day it already looked pretty beat up.

Overall I would re-purchase these lashes again in Flirty because I love light and natural they feel on my eyes!

These nails are super cute and are easy to apply.  I'm thinking of wearing the red ones for Valentine's Day!  They last about a week for me (because I'm clumsy and aren't really careful with them), but if you treat them well I bet they would stay on for 2 weeks!

I definitely think these are nice to have in stock in case you need to get your nails done at the last minute for a party or event!

Blogger Meet Up Hauls!

I got the 9 products for $25 deal at Lush!  I got the Squeaky Clean Shampoo Bar, Vanishing Cream Sample Jar, and Seaweed Mask.  The rest of the stuff in the box were default and you couldn't pick.

Picked up Korres Jasmine Lip Butter after hearing great reviews about it.  It does smell like cotton candy and feels good on my lips!  Not sure if it heals my dry lips but it just feels nice on.

Stopped by Victoria's Secret and got hooked on their new scent Coconut Passion since Diane pointed out how it smelled like Vanilla Cake Batter.  Not sure why it's called Coconut Passion, I don't smell Coconut at all!

Also got some stuff at Forever 21 and had fun picking out clothes and accessories with Kalmo!  I could of definitely spent way more but the bags were getting heavy.

Blogger girls are awesome, I wish all you ladies lived near by :)

Til next time...toodles!

*NOTE: All Revlon products were sent to me for consideration by the company. I was not paid or am I affiliated with the company.   All reviews are based on my own personal experiences and honest opinion.

All other products mentioned in this post was purchased by me and my poor wallet once again.

The Swap Saga Continues plus $1 NYX

Hi loves!  Happy Thursday, the weekend is once again near.Luckily it only rained once this week and it has been sunny days since.

I started a little swap with Songling (ningstar) from Malaysia  at the end of last year where she asked me to get her some Twilight Beauty items since they had a special  after Christmas.  I didn't really have anything in mind or a plan of what I was going to get, but being the shopaholic that I am, I always find something to want!  Our swap finalized at the beginning of January and I received her swap package this week!

SWAP PACKAGE

Etude House Collagen Moistfull Cream Set

Who could resist anything with collagen in it?  At point my skin needs to start stocking up on collagen.  This comes with a full size jar of the collagen cream, travel size cream, and travel size collagen essence.

I've been using this cream at night and so far loving it.  The texture is amazing and it's not too thick or too light but just enough to properly moisturize my dry skin.

Etude House Collagen Moistfull Essence in Primer and Foundation.

Unfortunately the Foundation is too light for me (#1 Light Beige Color) and it's meant for people with fairer skin while mine is on the medium side.  It comes in a pump bottle (very sanitary) and I pumped a little bit on my hands and already knew it was way too light!  If anyone is interested in buying/swapping for this product let me know because I have no use for it *sad*.  The texture of the foundation is really nice as far as I could tell and it leaves a dewy finish.

Etude House Fresh Cherry Blusher Duo

This is a really good cream blush that can be used alone or as a base!  The colors come out really cute.

Kiss Heroine and Etude House 66 Big Eye Mascara

I love trying out new mascaras so got these to try.  Karen (Sizbelle said good things about the Kiss Heroine mascara so I had to get it!)

MM Honey Plump Gloss Neo (extra from Songling), Lucido-L Soft Touch (good review from Songling so I wanted to try, KATE Palette

MM Single Eyeshadow (extra from Songling, the color is so cute)

Masks and Samples

Etude House Happy Teatime Cleansing Tissue

This just sounded so cute so I couldn't resist!  Hope it works well.

NYX $1 Haul

I'm a sucker for sales, what can I say?  I jumped on the bandwagon when NYX announced their $1 sale which is still going on right now.  The shipping is a bit high but since I ordered so much stuff (that I don't need) I figured it was worth it.

Falsies! You can never have enough.

NYX Pearl Eyeshadows

NYX Chrome Eyeshdaows, Single Eyeshadows, Brow Powder

NYX Contour and Highlighting Liquid

NYX Lipglosses

The one in the tube has a brush applicator that reminds me of Stila Lip Glazes

Puff and Sponges

Nail polish and Twin Cake Powder (got the dark color for contouring)

Lipsticks

I'm running out of storage space!  I really need to start organizing soon.  Anybody else get their NYX on?

Also signed up for this for fun since everyone is doing it (I'm such a follower).

FOTD - Love, love, love I want your love

Hi everyone!  The rain has finally stopped and it's been nothing but clear skies and sunshine this weekend.  I guess the sunshine dissolved away my laziness a little bit so today I decided to do a FOTD (face of the day).

Since Valentine's Day is creeping near I was inspired to do this look when I saw Kate Hudson on the cover of Cleo Magazine (Thai Version).  At first I didn't even recognize who it was but when I looked closely I was like "wow, it's Kate Hudson".  Is she heavily photoshopped or what?  Regardless, I really do like her make up for this cover.  It's sexy with a hint of sweetness.  The one thing that really stands out is the winged liner effect created by black e/s instead of an eyeliner.

Here's how it turned out.  Definitely not as sexy as Kate but more sweet Amy style haha

Eye products used:  Benefit Creasless Cream Shadow in Skinny Jeans, Glamour Doll Pigment in Graffiti, L'Oreal Hip Chrome Liner in Black Shock

For the lips a nude color or pink color would work.  Nude lips make me look kind of dead so I opted for more pink.

The key to creating the winged eyeliner look with a black eyeshadow is to use a pencil brush.  This makes it so much easier!

Lip products used: Missha Creamy Matee Rouge Pk02, Canmake Nudy Glow Sugar Milk Tea
Blush: MAC Starked Naked

I was so not lazy today that I even did my nails!  I'm really loving this color, it's so bright and cheerful.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Snappy Sorbet (such a cute name)

Love from Lindah!
Lindah (onlyxlindah) was sweet enough to send me some Shisem lashes to try out!  I saw her lash collection during a group blogtv session we all did and couldn't resist wanting to try these lashes that everyone has been raving about.

These are the extras she gave me!  Lindah covered all the bases and even gave me a black eyeliner and reminded me that I needed to use this when wearing falsies haha (she knows i'm a falsies noob).

The lashes! Ta Da!

Can't wait to try these out, hopefully I won't destroy them in the process.  Thank you Lindah!

Ok now time for me to go back to my laziness before work tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Stylish when wet...

This week for me has been nothing but gloomy, cold, and wet.  I love raining days when I could just stay home in bed and cuddle up in a nice warm blanket!  The reality of it is I have to get up every morning and go to work... ughhh, which makes rainy days not so pleasant.

I also have been meaning to do some product reviews, fotds etc. but the weather in combination with my laziness has gotten the best of me.  Hopefully this coming weekend I'll have some motivation!

When it's raining out I usually go for the "bummy look", which basically means an over sized hoodie, jeans, warm boots, hair in a messy bun, and no make-up.  But just because I'm not stylish doesn't mean you can't be!  So this post is just dedicated to some really hot items you could be rockin' on a raining day.

Umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh)

[high fashion]

who wouldn't look fab with Chanel? (just can't go wrong)

Burberry is just a classic! This umbrella plus a matching scarf = HOT! (when it's cold out)

Juicy is always so cute and girly.

[other randoms that are really cute]

 Loving the ruffled edges

Oh em gee, how cute is this?  Wouldn't it be funny if an actual bird tried to fly in? hehe

HK.... enough said

This will make  you look forward to some clear skies ahead

The umbrella that always looks wet

Awwww.... hearts

I'm not sure if this one is meant for the rain or a stroll in the park

[the weird]

This will keep your head/face completely dry but seems like your bottom area might get wet

Poor kid! I hope no one makes their child wear this! lol

Rain Boots

Who would of thought rain boots could be so stylish?

Would it be weird if I wanted to wear these when it's not raining?

My favorite one!  Swarovski Studded Rain Boots!  At first I thought they looked like regular boots but they are rain boots.

So any of you guys have cute gear for the rain?
